We Need Sponsors !

OK, I still haven't played in any tournaments, but my view on sponsorship is a realistic one. Keep in mind all the things that people have been trying to pound in your head about resumes for job interviews. Before I plan on getting sponsored(if I ever feel I'm ready) I will set up a resume of sorts. If you send one to a potential sponsor stating CLEARLY what you want, what you can give, your paintball accomplishments, and future paintball goals, then they will take you more seriously. I'm sorry, but "we come second in nearly every tourny we play in" (so can you sponsor us?) will not cut it. Send pictures of your local tournaments to PGI- if they get published you can tell your potential sponsor that you have been published in a major magazine with (get with Mr Big or Robbo for these numbers) _______ number of readers, all of which would have seen their products, used by your team, to win a tournament. It is good business sense.

How to get sponsorship, the easy way....

Here's the easy way to get sponsorship :

Play a major team, or a heavily sponsored team in an important game. Preferably a game that they need to max you and not lose anyone to advance.

Offer to roll over for them, IF they can secure you a deal with a paint sponsor. Haggle with them quietly up to the last minute, and make sure you get more from it that you'll spend to lose.

Enjoy the new sponsorship deal!

It's not enough to want a cookie, you must earn it

At the end of the day it's only the major pro teams that get REAL sponsorship. Just because a company offers a discount on paint it's not sponsorship.

Oh, and second place is first loser. To get proper deals you will need to play Millennium or NPPL and perform well. Companies aren't interested in local events with 10/15 teams that don't get mag coverage.

It's not good business practice to go handing out free kit to everybody who wants it, because that would be the entire scene right.

You also might want to sort someone's atitude out who is in team chill. Cos mark anyone that read a certain thread certainly wouldn't want to give you sponsership after what a member in your team was saying.
