Interesting

It is good to see that next year there will be three series in the UK the Northern, Midland and Southern masters.

That means myself and Chris from the SWPL can have the lie in!!!!!!!!!!

It is intersting to see how the Series 2002 has been written off in the thread. It must be in an unknown area of the country!!!!!!!

is there any series in the north west that would save us some hassles since we've got to come over on the boat from the I.o.M,trying to get some lads to go to shoot the rainbow, never mind getting up at 5 in the morning we've got to start the day b4:mad:

LOL.. It's far from Written off Bully, I think the 2k2 series is the best events in the UK, without question.. and I don't mind the 4:00am starts really.. Just trying to get something else to do.. 1 event a month is getting me down.. I just want to play more.

(you must agree though that Kidderminster isn't very northern)

Now if you ran the 2k2 events every other week.. "bliss" (well.. my bank manager might not agree).

Big Guy,

As you know Series 2002 and for the coming years is very much a tournament circuit respected by everyone in paintball. This was not meant as a jibe, the word Masters only refers in my part to the area in which we are looking to run a tournament circuit. We will always have teams from across the UK looking for the quick fix on the doorstep, hopefully all the UK leagues will benefit, then, hopefully more and more teams will get involved and so on, not cutting anyones grass mate I'm sure you understand that I would just like to give it a go, we only live once and well, if I didn't try it I would spend the rest of my life wondering what it's like, bit like sex and beer ;)

I'm only trying to once again promote the sport in my Country, we do not have enough teams in Scotland to run a Scottish league as yet, however if we run a Northern League we may be able to tempt these guys down from Aberdeen and Northern Scotland, can only be good for Scottish Paintball, tournament circuits, paintball stores and retailers, UKPSF and so on, the more the merrier I say, can't beat variety.

No problem at all with other events, the more the better. I would support a Scottish series. Lets see if the teams from the North of England as mentioned by Si will travel!!!!
I would hope so

finals

Firstly, good luck to you guy's in getting the Northern Masters of the ground.
Bully, I don't think anyone is writting of either the series 2002 or the SWleague, personally I think both you and Chris do an excellant job with your respective series. If we get a UK finals of the ground next year it could included all of the mentioned series not just the Masters events (southern / midlands / northern). It was yourself, Chris, Sparkley and ourselves at the MM who first began talking about a final's, and this has not been forgotten.
We do need to get all the parties together though and give the national league final's some series thought and discussion, sometime soon. I would be willing to arrange a date / venue say sometime in July or August.
Personally seeing the growth of UK tournament paintball of late I think the next few years could be the best that UK paintball has ever been, but those of us who run the tournaments need to work together to keep up the momentun.

U.K Format

A formation of the U.K Tornaments would be a great thing and i am sure many people would love to be a part of it but haven't we tried something like this before and the league was neglected..

But i am sure promoters have learned from this expirence and to see a national format where teams can pick up series points and be given a true U.K ranking level would only bring our game in the U.K closer and raising the level of our game to counter our friends on the continent who are racing away with the big results!

northern series

It would be good to get northern/scottish series on the go. Save us coming so far down to play (makes it cheaper for us to come down ie traveling expenses and so on).

I agree with your comments,

I have printed an article in the next edition of the WORD from a player who is suggesting a national series based on one leg of each from selected series which is a good idea.

This way players can play there region series but one leg of a series will be a national qualyfing leg.

Yes July August is OK by me
