As soon as Paul came over with it I was thinking Oh Christ, don't get me started on another marker...please!

Now, I'll tell you what I honestly think...

They look ugly imho, there's no denying it, there is nothing fancy about it what so ever. If you are after something for vanity, this isn't the marker for you.

I was also interested because it had a Halo on it, and I'm not a big fan of Halo's as they have always chopped masses of paint when I've used them with Impy's and Angels in the past. And I didn't think it would be any different with any other marker.

Went to the chrono with 3 x 140 pots. Consistency was ok, nothing shockingly good, +/- 8fps, (but I'm never sure how accurate these things are anyway). So far, so normal - then you pull the trigger...

This is by far the fastest thing I have ever shot, so ridiculously easy to fire fast it was untrue. How fast I was actually firing I couldn't say (I don't regard myself particularly quick on the trigger anyhow) but it was certainly faster than I ever have done before...
I can't really say anymore than that. If Paul takes it to another event and you are seriously thinking about a new marker - a couple of pots through one of these could easily convince you. The thing never chopped a ball or skipped a beat. **** hot piece of kit. It reminded me of the millenium falcon in that it might not look like much, but it's got it where it counts...

Few questions for you Paul...

1. What is the support in the UK? Is it send back to alpha?
2. How long does support last?
3. Finally, how much and how easy are spares for these things?
Hi Ben,

Thanks for the frank 'review'. the consistancy was mainly down to the non perfect paint/barrel match, but not too bad...
Ugly wise, well this is always going to be subjective however a marker covered in Duct tape is never going to be called pretty, the eye covers will be out soon enough so will restore the clean simple lines the marker pocesses but I'll concede, its not the 'flashiest' marker out there! :)
Now to the answers.
1.Any faults send back to Alpha, we are able to work on the markers whilst retaining the AKA lifetime warranty.
2.Lifetime
3.All the internals are cartridge based, if any component should fail we unscrew the old and replace with new. We will where possible provide a temporary replacement marker whilst yours is being worked on. This will be the companies 'show marker' kind of the same policy as a 'courtesy car'.
These markers are incredibly reliable and hard wearing, the AKA back up is also superb!
Hope that answers the questions.

Paul
:)

Thanks to Paul and Doo-Doo for the marker, it was the fastest and most accurate marker i've shot in a long time:cool:

The only downside apart from it being a bit plain (not a prob for those of us that rate speed and reliability over Bling-ness) is that the paint bill WILL go up dramatically, it is that fast.

Hi Neil,

Didn't remember the bolt sticking, the ram was leaking occasionaly (new part on an older marker not bedded in yet and NOT the norm!), either way Leon had no troubles whatsoever in the game (see above :))
It may be bought as a back up but it'll soon become the primary! :D :D :D

Hi Paul, no don't get me wrong, with regards to looks, I no longer give a monkeys, it is refreshing to see a product that puts function above form.

Now about this warranty - is this for real or am I reading this the wrong way....

If I buy one of these, and something goes wrong with it - it is always covered by warranty? Meaning I will never have to pay for it to be repaired? Or is it a lifetime labour warranty?

Ben.

Nope you read it all right, the only exception being the boards, now that they're out sourced to W.A.S they have a 1 year warranty on them, to be honest though the majority of the time AKA will do their best to sort any problems out.
Any labour carried out by Alpha Paintball is not chargable if its a fault :)

myckyoutkast,
You should of had a rip on the new one, leaves the old board for dead :D :D!!!!

Had a play with this marker yesterday and have to say it is the fastest and easiest marker I have ever fired!

I'm no good at walking the trigger on my e-blade but just let rip on this thing.

If I was after a new marker this would be at the top of my shopping list!
