What an awesome day!
Thanks to everyone for coming along, ready for battle and out for a good time. The atmosphere was buzzin and so was the game play.

It was a hard fought thing; Blue "Battalion" took an early lead in the morning, while the Red "Rangers" were still waking up but the "Rangers" returned the favour over the midday session, really piling the pressure onto the Blue "Battalion" guys and denying them any mission success at all.

With the stage set for the afternoon missions and not a great difference in the scores, victory was within the grasp of both generals and their respective battle groups.

This meant heavy fighting over all the objectives and everyone had to play really hard to gain ground.

With the smoke clearing at the end of the day, though, it was the Blue "Battalion" that came out as the winners of the long campaign, having completed a couple more objectives than the Red "Rangers"

Scores on the doors were:

Red "Rangers": 570

Blue "Battalion": 635

On the global level, the Red and Blue dominance was also swinging back and forth as each set of local results came in; often on a minute-by-minute basis.

Thanks to the Generals; Dave "The General" Jack and Matt "Hoadey" Hoade, you did a cracking job lads, and got right into the spirit of the thing. It can be a daunting task to coordinate a large team of players over big game fields, but you fellas took to it with gusto and kept your teams busy (not to mention the opposition general!)

Shout outs are also due to:

Player of the Day, Jack. One of the more diminutive players on the field, Jack was always in the thick of the fighting without fail and really mixed it up with all of you fully-grown gun-monkeys. Enjoy the trophy, Jack!

Best Move of the Day, Warren. He earned this for shaking is arse at the bad-guys while working his bunker like a good-un. You tried it one time too many, though, Warren and got your comeuppance. Kept us all laughing though; well done

It was nice to see loads of new bods alongside all the familar faces, it made for a large fighting force and a great day of intense battles; we enjoyed it every bit as much as we expected to- we hope all of you did too!
