We will soon have a special range of baseball bats, golf clubs, shot guns and petrol bombs to help with the Zombie killing :D

3 weeks to go, I hope you are all prepared!

Places are still available (although bookings are still coming in thick and fast, so don't hang about) and we are pleased to announce that we are well clear of the 150 mark; it's going to allow us to plan for some awesome fire-fights!

Folks are really up for a halloween game and although dressing to impress isn't required I've heard some great costume ideas- I was talking to one guy the other day who has found himself a gas mask, not unlike the one on the flyer. That's going to look intense in the middle of a shoot out!

We've been told of proposed plague victims, haz-mat containment suits, tu-tus, and even a predator mask (not sure where the last two are at, given the theme!?:) )

I'd be interested to hear about any other costumes in the making, the more intense, the better.

Okay, something for you to get your teeth into, folks.

“...First they called it avian flu... then swine flu...the bodies started to mount... and still they lied...

then the changes begun... mutilation... morphing... and they could not hide it anymore."

It has been 6 months since an unidentified but incredibly virulent plague swept the nation, killing millions and mutating millions more into inhuman monstrosities that came to be dubbed “The Wretched”. These infected beings have the outward appearance of unkempt, “wretched” parodies of the people they used to be but the virus leads to a violent, aggressive beast inhabiting a shell of something that was once human; an individual focused only on pain, destruction, and personal survival. For them, human beings have become one thing. Prey.

Small bands of uninfected survivors cling together for mutual safety, trying to establish havens where they can live protected from the constant threat of The Wretched. They travel and scavenge what supplies they can from the ruins of a world turned upside down, clinging to the hope that a cure might be found.

It is rumours of just such a cure that have brought two bands of survivors, inspired by visionary leaders, to an abandoned base in Cosford. It is said that a science station somewhere on the grounds holds samples of a potent antigen, and the research knowledge to widely distribute it into the population at large.

Both bands will need to race to find the hidden secrets of the base, evade the pockets of wandering Wretched, and ensure survival for themselves and the entire population. There may be a hope of a new day and heroes will be made of the people that provide it…”

Overview

The day will be split into 3 game sessions; 2 of one and a half hours, and 1 of two hours, with a variety of missions to be completed within each. There will also be two break sessions for general recovery. :D

Players will form 2 teams of survivors, fighting for a safe haven in a plague infected landscape. Rumours of an elusive cure also abound; the survivors plan to brave the hordes of “The Wretched” in the area of an abandoned science research station to discover any clues that may lead to an antigen capable of curing the epidemic.

Various missions will need to be completed; each have their own time limits for completion; ranging from 30 mins to 2 hours, depending on the given objective.

Expect a variety of objectives from "Sweep and Clear" directives, "Extraction" missions, and "Take and Hold" style tasks.

Multiple missions will be active at any one time so there will be something for everyone and more than enough to keep you busy, especially since each objective will have differing points values for completion.

Respawn during the game will be in effect; through on-field "medics", and at designated respawn points.

All-in-all it's got us excited here in the Warped office-we can't wait to see the action in full effect- and we've worked hard to come up with one or two surprises for you all

Chrono limit is 280 fps and ramping is all good (but no full auto or burst fire modes, obviously).

Booking is still in full swing so if you haven't booked your place yet, give us a call on 01902 455455 to secure your place on the front lines.

...meet you in the middle (of the battlefield)!
