Matt my personal oppinion is that the kit there will be worse then a site rental. My brother got a kit like that and really regrets it.
first thing i would say is go to your local field ask the owner if they can make you a deal they get discouted gear as salesman and you may bag a bargin.
You will NOT get an air tank, marker and hopper for less then £100 I just got a use air tank and it cost me £50, that quite cheap.
For a first gun i would recommend a tippmann they are cheap very very reliable, easy and simple to maintain and fix, very robust, ive seen a sledge hit a 98 and it worked fine after, your looking at £80ish for a standard 98.
Mask i would go for a proto as they are cheap but good masks. A proto switch el will rush you about £18-25.
Hoppers if you get a tippman a5 they come with one but a 98 won't.
A cheap gravity hopper can be picked up for a couple of quid.
C02 will not cost above £30 and used at fields if your lucky like i was can be got for £10
that kit would work alot better then that starter set imo.
