don't forget K2, but cheers Nick it's nice to know we're been noticed!

i think alot of the teams that play each other every tourney do know each other. we know the guys on K2, Kellys, etc as we're playing them all the time. not sure how many players in the lower divisions know us guys tho.

there was a decent crowd watching our last game against K2 at nottingham, not sure how many realised it was the deciding game for div a with both teams going into it on the same points, maybe soe sort of announcement would have got everyone going a bit more.

For starters

Tony has hit the nail on the head

Announcing crunch/important matches will get people watching.

There is however a slight difference between watching Russion Legion V Dynasty or Naughty Dogs v Avalanche and Trumpton Toasters v South Mosely Killing Kru

Hard to whip up a frenzy there!!

i'd like to think that as far as brit ball (esp series 2K3) goes K2 v Inferno is one of the bigger games you'll see.

if you watch the Div A games at one of Bully's tourneys you tend to see a fair few killer moves courtesy of Chris Latham, Steve Pitt, me (perhaps!) and others. fair enough we're not up to RL/Dynasty standard yet but we're working at it!

Hey Tony

I wasnt flaming anyone - just pointing out that many teams dont really want to watch others - especially if they consider them to be of similar rank.

I'm not saying that some great moves arent pulled and that they arent worth worth seeing - cos I've seen them and been on the end of a few by Mr Pitt etc!!

You only have to travel round Millenniums and NPPL's to see how crowds drift away with lower ranked games and pack the stands for the big crunch games - its human nature!!

BUT - as i said before - it could work here if the important games were announced so that spectators werent just watching Team A v B but Team A v B the winner of which goes thru to the finals/wins the division/day etc

To watch Naughty Dogs v Legion is a learning experience that most would do even if they were playing off for last place and the wooden spoon.

Get my point??

Nick.

Gotta be a ton o' fun man. Just imagine some of us gobby UK ballers on the mics biggin' up all the teams that have played good, and inspiring those that haven't been too hot to get their **** together as they play. I'm sure there are plenty guys that can do the job and plenty of teams that would love to be mentioned after a great game, no matter what division.

Lets get inspired guys. (one for you Olly)

Count my punk ass in.

Come on Bully and co. how about it, worth the money, whatever it costs to liven up the scene.

Am down with this idea! Don t kno bout the rest of u guys but a don t want to be second to our good friends across the pond!

We REALLY need to get our tourney scene jumpin, the more intresting and exciting it gets the more intrest we will attract and that means sponsership from outside the industry! Whether it be t.v companies wantin a piece of the pie or from other industries!
And the more spectators the better, never kno paintball could be as big as footie one day if the cards are played right!

Question is, is sum1 actually gonna do sumthin about this? Ballin in the UK needs to change, it needs to go from locations of events that are away from cityies and in the countryside to stadiums right in the centre of town ( i kno that will take time) but that s were ballin NEEDS to be. Right in people's faces!

Mak

It hasnt really happened so far

So why not try something new - make it more interesting, more sectator friendly

Then you might attract more interest.

If I was an outside sponsor visiting a tournament then I'd be impressed by the vibe that commentary would create. At the moment it all seems a little flat and no-one really knows whats going on.

Lets say Tigers v Shock. Its an old rivalry, they are both top teams. Theres a start. Then the game may be for a trophy/place whatever.

The same could be done for others, no matter what ranking (someone could go get info in the morning about teams and up coming games to prime the compere).

It sounds like a relatively cheap, fun and ultimately good option for the sport

WHY NOT??
