Ummm what is the point in telling him that he should save up and get a new gun? He has just got a VS1 the last thing he wants to do is go and spend yet more money on a more expensive diferent marker. This is his first gun (correct me if Im wrong) so a VS1 is not a bad choice.
You also say that 20bps is alright for a newbie..... have you ever actually played? I would really like to see someone constantly fire 20bps on semi throughout a game. The reality is that most people only constantly get around 12-15bps on semi during a game if they are good.
You don't actually need 20bps anyway seeing as most fields are capped at 15bps.
Try giving him usefull advice that he could actually use!

The VS1 is a good solid starter marker, don't feel bad about your purchase. Try punisherspb.com they are an American site but it usually gets to me within a week and the shipping is not overly expensive.

Have fun!
James

You need to chill out...

All I'm saying is that its a good marker for a person who's starting and it doesn't really need any ups.

You can spend loads upping a marker when a price for a quality second hand one, will probably be less.

anyway, do you like lurk waiting just to argue with someone?

no need for aggression and insults.

was just my opinion.

well tbh m8 im preety much a newbie myself and was dying to buy a new gat, but when i think about it i dont need one as my level of play is = to my marker....

i think the same goes for u tbh..
i agree with tom, dont worry about upgrades if it can pull 20bps, just buy paint and go to walk-ons and have a laugh:D

we are not here to make the choice for u, just here to help u along the way:cool:

have fun man!

If you post something usefull then you will probably find that people won't argue with you......
Just out of interest, where do I become 'aggressive'? and where do I personally insult you?
Get your head straight mate.

VS1 is a supprisingly awesome gun, it really doesnt feel like a spyder. Now some of you know how much of a planet whore I am, but i really didn't want to sell my VS1 before coming back to the UK. It never broke on me and it was pretty accurate for a low end marker. Stick with it until you get hooked, then look up the eteks lol

Hey mate.. I've just joined and I did own a vs1 that was my first gun.. the upgrades I got for it was...

unitec virtue board.
14" j&J barrel.
Clamping feed neck to fit an ion but the threads are the same!...

my only concern was that that marker eats batteries!!.. I played with it once and I didn't like it, the range was great and it fired as quick as I could pull the trigger.. all I can say is the only advice I can give ya is watch the batteries.. you'll know if there going since the gun will click and not fire, watch the ball dents I only bought the marker the day before and both dents dropped out!!.

Hope this helps if you still need it!.

i agree with "paintball kitty"
if it is your first gun just stick with it and if you like it, spend some money on it if youre sure you dont want anything else in the near future
good luck,

chris.
