Personally i think you should save the money you're using for upgrades and get a new gun.

I was going to do the same as you with my spyder, but realised i could spend loads of money upgrading an okay-ish gun, with it still not being that great OR keep the money and buy a good second hand marker (which will only need a few/no upgrades) and can keep up and even beat the high end markers... Easily.

Saying that the vs1 is supposed to do around 20bps out the box? Could be wrong. But for a newbie that's alright, just get some practice with it and save your money and get a new gun:D

just my opinion anyway:D

Ummm what is the point in telling him that he should save up and get a new gun? He has just got a VS1 the last thing he wants to do is go and spend yet more money on a more expensive diferent marker. This is his first gun (correct me if Im wrong) so a VS1 is not a bad choice.
You also say that 20bps is alright for a newbie..... have you ever actually played? I would really like to see someone constantly fire 20bps on semi throughout a game. The reality is that most people only constantly get around 12-15bps on semi during a game if they are good.
You don't actually need 20bps anyway seeing as most fields are capped at 15bps.
Try giving him usefull advice that he could actually use!

The VS1 is a good solid starter marker, don't feel bad about your purchase. Try punisherspb.com they are an American site but it usually gets to me within a week and the shipping is not overly expensive.

Have fun!

I agree and disagree with both. Your Spyder is not really worth upgrading, you're better off leaving it fairly standard until you feel you're level of play needs a better marker. Then upgrade to a good quality marker that'll take you to the next level of play. Spend your money on paint and walkon days.
