I don't understand why you say that, Nick. We ALREADY DO get people to judge while they are paying all those expenses themselves and WITHOUT giving them €100 per day.

I'm delineating a program for making the system work and going a long way towards compensating the player/refs for their expenses undertaken for judging for series points.

This in direct continuation of you saying I "think small" when saying professional refs will be hard to do.

Paying teams reffing for points makes no difference to the quality of reffing - it's still the same teams with the same potential for bias, and the same "don't give a ****" attitude towards the job (in some instances)

Nick
Wow, Nick!

We seem to be talking around each other. I'm talking about a whole program to deal with this whole issue of "...the same potential for bias, and the same "don't give a ****" attitude towards the job (in some instances)." Paying the player-refs is just one part of the whole package.

About all pro refs: my point number 8 perhaps is premature, but it must come in the future.

I didn't mean you really think small because you have shown yourself to be a true innovator many times. It just looked like you precluded the possibility of pro reffing ever coming to Euro PB.
