Well I pressed mine the number of times as it's what it said in my manual. Worked just fine. I did buy it from a French retailer, maybe they made it mad.

Maaaaybe it works both ways. Like changing the dwell/ROF on an Ion - You can press it once for each increase the dwell by 1 or keep the button depressed and count the flashes.
