The main advantage I can think of with an aftermarket board is that you would be able to adjust the activation speed for MS games. When the bps cap went down so did the activation speed, but unless you have slow fingers it's not really a big deal. That and show-off modes :D

Does anyone have the official stance on this? Not heard anything from dye offering re-flashing.. I know its not really a big issue because your still way legal with a higher kick in, but i'd be nice to know where they stand

I find that some markers "official" or "legal" modes ramp much more quickly than others.

Dye markers and Minis tend to go near enough straight into ramping, whereas angels and Egos don't kick in just as quickly.
