Very stiff tank on my Ion

Anyway, did it again to convince myself I was indeed not so weak and it was much better this time. Still the hissing at the start - This normal? Doesn't last long but haven't noticed it on my other gun.

1000 psi is still a lot of pressure and can screw up the reg top o-ring if you taking the tank off when its pressured ..highly recommend getting a OOPS , planet or cp are excellent in my experience (although im using the hybrid quarter turn purges just now and they're the business)

best thing I can advise you to do is to get a form of on off which purges any pressure left in the pipes, there will always be a shot left in the reg so be sure to clear that too.
as soon as the pressure has been vented you will be able to unscrew the tank no problem

Thanks - Have been posting in Classifieds about wanting an on/off but nothing yet. I put a bit of Vaseline on the tank O-Ring today and it helped in unscrewing the tank. I'm guessing this is alright, providing I don't get it in the pin valve?

don't use vaseline to lube your tank . . . its petroleum jelly! always use a paintball lube of somekind I.e shocker grease, for 1 it will erode your o rings
there was an incident in Madrid where someone put an oil in their fill nipple to lube it, when they went to fill it it caused the bottle to explode from the reg, and trust me I don't want to be around another incident like that again
its this kind of lack of information that people have, or don't read that can cause incidents
