Is a vertical feed technically and truly a better feed (or more direct) than a side feed, or is it trend? or is it better simply because it eliminates the elbow? I'm curious.
verticle feed is better, if you pick up last months pgi, in the section where they were saying what was better i belive it says why in there. But to save you flicking through a verticle feed is much faster and doesnt stick out of any perticular side.
ok, that makes sense. I was getting at, does either or, out perform one another mechanically, meaning are there mechanical benefits from vertical meaning does it "really" feed better?
i belive that the vert feed is slightly faster as it uses gravity to full effect by being a straight vertical feed neck rather than a rhf/lhf as they do not use the natural force of gravity as effectivly as they are angled.....i think i think its a physics thing????
also if paint gets into a rhf/lhf the balls can get stuck to the feed neck not good!! well thats what has happened to mine anyway
i think it aslo depends on what gun your shooting if your worried about the speed of feeding from your hopper. i used to have a right hand feed, mechanical cocker and it was fine as i couldn't really shoot fast. but as tommy said a full hopper weighs quite alot so you become over balanced. right hand feed also increases your profile on one side, which increases your chance of getting shot!!
i know what you mean. i used to have ages ago a rhf cocker and i could see straight down the barrel which was cool.
but with my angel and impy you look either side of the feed neck i.e. one eye either side to aim. but you wouldnt ever need to look over your hopper really
vert feed lookes cooler, has better ballance, feeds a lil faster because the paint just drops dpwn the tube and doesnt roll down the tube, equal profile
the only bad thing is it can be dificult to aim if your a newb and dont know how to get around it
I think thats one reason i never got the tippman...
