versions of rotor

hey guys im just wondering is there more than 1 version of the rotor or all they all the same? bar colour schemes

From what I know -
1st 'generation' had no Velcro battery straps or Sharkfin
2nd 'generation' had Velcro battery straps but no Sharkfin
3rd 'generation' has Velcro battery straps and Sharkfin

Everything else has always been the same.

what do you mean by sharkfin???
all of them had antijam lever at bottem didnt they

It's the red rotating part of the internals, a 'fin' has been added to it to make it jam less.

Using good paint means it doesnt jam at all no matter which version.

well id be using it for tornament use so it would be good paint.

If you do get one with out the battery straps just run a bit of tape round them to stop them popping out if yo hit the deck.

I have had a couple of Rotors, none have had the Sharkfin and I have never had any problems

Just to clarify, the added fin does not reduce the likelihood of jams in the DYE Rotor, what it does is improve the way a Rotor removes any jams by allowing it to move further and release the blockage.

There was never an issue with the Rotor suffering from excessive jams, nor was there a need to 'fix' it.

I've had my 1st generation Rotor since they were first launched in the Uk,and it's never missed a beat and rarely jam's,it's the best hopper i have owned since my 12v Revvy days of yesteryear
