If you turn on the loader while empty the code is designed so that the cone will speed up and down and the led will alternate between green and red with the occasional brief flash of orange. That's normal.

2 things to do when having problems:

1. Test the loader with paint - that way it's much easier for us to diagnose the problem. The manual (there's also automatic) anti-jam is activated when you push the button and the eyes don't see paint. If the eyes see paint, are misaligned or burnt out, pushing the button will activate rip drive instead.
2. To see if the eyes work correctly, with the loader empty and turned on, put your pinky into the feedneck to block the eyes, once the loader stops spinning, wiggle your finger and observe the result - the cone will spin and each time you move your finger you will hear the motor pushing the cone

Same here. I think the setting button is shagged so it keeps cycling though the various speeds.
Not possible. If the button were shagged, you would either be not able to activate manual anti-jam/rip drive/enter Quick Change settings or the loader would constantly be in Quick Change Settings menu, making the cone not spin and the LED constantly flash green.

As I said above, if there is no paint in the loader and the cone speeds up and down it's perfectly normal - that's how we designed the code.

here is one for you fisz.

mine worked fine with no shells on, anti jams with pinky in the way, as soon as i put shells on, it just rip drives.

i have tried it in 3 boards, and 3 sets of shells, the only way i got it to work was using clear shells, without the tape on, and as soon as the sun came out at the xball, it stopped working

Assuming it's the HyperDrive chip, the issue is with the alignment of ir sensors, both sets are needed but the rear one is more important as it is used to sense the movement of paint and provides data used for activation of the manual anti-jam/rip drive.

Check the alignment of the sensors (you can temporarily pull off the rubber protection).
