Creed received today.

I have removed the grip frame from the body to repair the leak, and the head of the screw holding the valve in the body is stripped.

The allen keys you supplied with the gun cannot undo it, and neither can the set of keys with the other Creed I already have.

So, at the moment it appears you have sold me a gun with a leak that cannot be fixed.

I note from your previous posts elsewhere on the forum that you have had the same leaking problem with the gun before, so you must have removed and refitted the screw previously.

I have messaged Foot - Vanguard tech - to see if he can assist in any way, and if he cannot I will be looking to you for a refund.

i can assure you when i had the gun i had no issues with the screws at all :( the gun has had the leak since december, i had removed the screws to see if i could fix the problem but since then after buying the rebuild kits i hadnt had the time to do the repair on the gun or even taken it apart, i dont like the way Im been made to look like ive sold you a gun that is broken because thats not me, the allen keys supplied with the gun are the allen keys for the gun, there not some random set they are the vanguard creed allen keys and again i had no issue with the screws while i had the gun. also how do i know that you havent caused this problem with the gun and are just using this as an excuse. I really dont know what to say, as i can assure you that i wouldnt of sold the gun if it was well and truely written off :(

also id like to see pictures.

This is your thread from December 2011 regarding the leak in the gun:-

http://p8ntballer-forums.com/threads/small-air-leak-from-breach-on-creed.106598/

It seems odd that, after fixing the leak last December, you went to the trouble of buying 5 o-ring rebuild kits and did not bother to fix the new leak in the 6 months between then and now.

If you had repaired it - as it is an easy fix - you could have kept it or sold it at a higher price. The fact that you sold the gun for one third less (£60) than your asking price indicates that you were eager to be rid of it.

I am aware that the allen keys are supplied with the gun, and have stated as much in my previous post. I know this because I already have a Creed and have the allen keys supplied with it.

My point is that none of the keys would turn the screw as the head was stripped.

I have taken Foot's advice and used a hammer & chisel to gently cut a small groove into the head of the screw, so that I could get it out with a screwdriver. I have replaced and lubed the o-ring, and the leak is now fixed.

I have asked Foot if he can sell me a replacement screw and valve plug, as I do not have any in the spares kits I have.

In relation to your allegation that I caused the problem myself, I suggest that you look at my history of buying and selling guns. I am not in the habit of lying about things that I buy.

Also, I have been an Eclipse Tech for some years and am not in the habit of damaging guns.

your right, i did state in a forum post that i had fixed the issue and i thought i had but after going to test the gun the week after the problem was still apparent so i put the gun in my kit bag, i did buy 5 rebuild kits because my intention was to fix the gun and sell it for a decent price, altho i didnt have the time to do so and with my current situation with a marriage coming up and not playing the sport for about 6 months i decided to sell my equipment, i sold the gun cheap because i know how this forum works people are out for bargains, the price on used markers falls all the time, and the fact that i havent been on the forums since january i wasnt aware of the going rates of makers, to me at the moment my gear (whats left of it) isnt going much for me as ive been selling it on ebay raising funds for my wedding.
im very sorry for any inconveinces that you may have come across but i can honestly say i didnt sell you a unrepairable marker, as ive been in that situation before after buying a SLG off here and it only been useful as a paper weight. i am glad to hear you have solved the issue and i hope that you get the most out of the marker because its a awesome marker.
