New board is a must not sure which is better, Blackheart, t Board or the Virtue but you'll be looking at spending between £60 - £90 for one of those. A new Qev is also a must and a cheap planet one will do nicely. So many barrels to mention for the ion (impulse thread) I have a Freak kit that’s ok but again as with anything in paintball it's all about the cash.

Check this site out for loads of help with tec for the Ion really helpful. If you've got a question about an ion it's probably in here it goes into great depth and detail.

get some delrin spring detents, the NDZ ones are good, or Orange.

A Virtue board is what i'd put in it, easy to program and the best eye logic above the other boards mentioned (maybe on par with the new Tadao ones coming out).

theyre fine... but reg's are like £40 aren't they???

you also have to remember that they add on vat afterwards, and also £10 postage got hit by that one recently...

Why not buy some paint and go and train the ion is a pretty good gun out of the box when set up right. You could have the fastest best looking gat in the world which is useless if you dont know who to use it.

If you do upgrade the board seriously look into the new Lucky Stage 4 upgrade board.

I sell T boards, £55 a go with free membrane. I think the virtue doesnt offer anything special, lucky is a bit more pricey but you can get a better solenoid.

yeh instead of buying they hybrid grips and the new body buy a t-board

if you get the pro touch grips from SP i think you'll be happy, bit thinner than the stock ION ones and have more grip.
