what happened to all the upgrades that were meant to be coming out for the sovereign 2. planet were meant to do an eclipse version and arrow were meant to be releasing their own hinge trigger

The hinge trigger is still in the works (but Jon Bon is very busy at the moment!) as are some other interesting trigger options that I can't tell you about without killing you shortly after 
If you go and look at my report on Amsterdam on www.warpig.com you will also find a pic of a prototype of some of the new Sovereign stuff coming out. It looks good!
You can get swing triggers from a place in America called Maxx Paintball, the airsmith is a great guy called Brad who does some stunning work. But since you are in the UK you may want to wait for the stuff from Arrow Precision.
I actually just sold my Sov II (an american offered me too much $$$ to refuse ) but will be getting one of the new ones with swing trigger I expect.
If you are interested I know of a set of BOA barrels in different bores for the Sov...

Sorry it's gone so I won't tease you with the price.
Was a great gun and my stead fast back up/woods gun. Very consistent and accurate. Only downside is that it was not as fast as my electro cocker and e-mag which is important in my tourny play.
The swing trigger should help make it faster.

I don't know when they will be releasing the new stuff.
Yes it's the pictures with the outside milled away. I wasn't allowed to release pictures of the new outside yet as John hasn't decided on the final look yet.

I loved that gun (all of the 2 times I used it...)...
Jon's been pestering me to buy a knackered old sov we spotted and get it sov2-ed up... All because of you and your ol' blue sov... Oh well.
Decided to keep the Spearhead instead? weird; I kinda figured the sov suited you better.
