Thats the problem though. An LED does not have a feed neck that you can screw off I need one that bolts onto the existing feed neck.

What makes you say it doesn't screw off? Is it because you can't get it off as if it is that then chances are you will find that sometime in it's life or from the factory it was loctited in place...20-30 seconds with a heat gun (not a hair dryer ) one of those BOA strap wrenches from B&Q and you will be away.
