and isn't barry in with the millenium organisers now, wouldn't look great if his team passed on that to play nppl.
The Method thingy was I think based upon the following premise of promotion and it's a device that is often used by tourney organisers and it goes something like this; somebody wants to run a big tourney in the UK, they tell everybody that Tigers, Shockwave and Nexus are all going (when in fact they haven't committed at all) and on the back of that, loads of teams sign up and if sufficient teams commit, then eventually Shockwave Tigers and Nexus may trot along too which then completes the circle of promotion or do I mean deceitOriginally posted by sjt19
I think you have the wrong end of the stick. I wasnt saying that phoenix would play NPPL, i was hinting that maybe Nexus and Joy would focus on the NPPL and foresake the Millennium leaving 2 spaces to fill in the Pro of the MS
And Pete, I knew it wasnt Phoenix, I was just tired of Method this, and Method that. When all that we have is rumours, and press releases claiming to have players that have committed to joining, but are anything but committed to joining, and are off pursuing other ventures. Everyone is always trying to hype things up,things that eventually always fall by the wayside. It seems that UK ball largely is all about hype.......
I totally understand the tactics, it just annoys me that people from all corners of this industry in particular decide to use them time and time again. Why does everything have to be done in the public domain? Whats wrong with securing your deals behind the scenes then runing public with it when its sorted. Its tiresome.Originally posted by Robbo

Anyways, if I wanna start up a real good team, I go and tell everyone I got Ollie, Alex and Chris and so on...ya get the picture...or should I say 'Method' ????

I have it from the horses mouth that one of UK Pro teams has several Pro team players from around Europe and beyond visiting for a training day soon, the initial interest is for rostering for the team, Should be a bit eye opening for later in the year after training is over and the season starts
More to follow
