are splat masters semi auto or pump?

Splatmasters are neither, they have a large button on the back of the gun, you hit the button to **** it then aim at someone and hope you hit them. I bought one as a bit of a laugh and that is all i did when i used one. i think the rapide was the semi.

Although wasn't there a tourny team that used only the splats, rogue troopers or F troop something like that.
