Yes that's the sort of thing uni's need.

There's 30 odd people in the Southampton Uni (Trident) Team and only 3 have there own kit.

The industry will sure to boom when students realise they can use their loans to buy 'flashy' kit. Especially if an annual tourney like that goes ahead.

:D Great idea Jose!:D

There has to be a balance between making it accessible to new players while avoiding taking the fun out for more experienced players and established teams.

When you say stock, do you mean pump-guns? I think that might be taking it a bit far, although it could be fun. I fact an additional dual-pistol one-on-one championship would definitely be a laugh - The Jon Woo Cup. :D

I was thinking about having separate divisions. One for established teams players with their own kit and one division for inexperienced teams using rental kit only. That way everyone is playing against people of a similar level and with similar kit and those that have shiney kit can use it.

But wasn't last year only teams of people who were already ballers, or from uni's with clubs? I was suggesting that they would go in to one divison, and there would be another division for newbies or people who have been recballing a few times.

I have got the contact details for the Sabbatical Officer in charge of Student Clubs/Society for all of the Student Unions in NUS. I'm sure we would be able to get a few of them to recruit 5 people interested in starting a paintball club at there uni, to come along to the tourney.

Note: For me an inter-uni tourney would not purely be for it's own sake, it would be a useful oportunity to promote paintball at a uni level.
