UK University Paintball Championships

Saturday was great! 
Thank you to all the teams who participated. I enjoyed meeting and playing you all. I was really pleased that there was such a friendly and fun atmosphere. For many of the teams this was there first introduction to tournament paintball. That didn't stop them giving their all and and i was impressed by the way they enthusiastically rose to the challege. And it was great that so many of you made it back to our students union later in the evening. However I'm not sure if our cheerleaders will be quite the same after meeting some of you.
Thank you to the refs. You guys worked really hard, did a great job on the field and kept things running smoothly throughout the day. Also thanks to those of you who were helping us out at such short notice.
Thanks to the site & staff for accomodating us, equiping some of us, and feeding us. Also without their help with all the behind the scenes admin, it would have been much harder to get the event off the ground.
Through the day a range of teams emerged as contender for the title. I am proud to announce that Birmingham came through as the winners and are the 2005/2006 UK University Paintball Champions. Runners up in 2nd place were Portsmouth, followed by Teesside in 3rd.
PBUK were in attendance, so look out for a write up and photos.

Was a great day and a good laugh I wont lie i was worried as we hadnt played together before, a few of the guys hadnt seen sup air before either, but after the first game we got around that

well i can confirm that Teesside came 3rd, got the Trophy to prove it
i was a good atmoshpere with experinced players and new players. would definatly do it again!

Got to say a massive thank you to all of the other teams from the UWE boys, without all of your generosity with lending us equipment we would have been in a right fix. Hopefully for next year we will have a bigger budget so will be able to affored some decent equipment as well as our own stuff. Hope to see you all again next time, and congratualtions to Birmingham A.

lol cheers for that mate, we have adopted the pikie nickname you gave us and plan to turn up in burbary for the next event!
