Uttoxeter Sharks train once a month..... usually, depends on cost. The reason we don't train more frequently is also down to cost.

Its our second season in existance and in PA div 3. We played Paris this year (div 3) and had intended to play Campaign but player availability prevented this.....I don't like using guest players.

Next year, we are looking at concentrating on the Millenniums. Only problem is the number of young players (school age) I have and financing the 5 events.....usual stuff really.

Robbo, If you have any sugestions about gaining finance for the Mills, please get in touch.

Just finishing our 2nd year.

Ist year showed a great deal of promise and we started to look like a solid team. A loss of a number of players due to financial constraints and job commitments meant that this year has seen a prolonged period of regrouping. We have taken on a number of players over the year and now have a squad that will take us a long way.

We train at least once a month as a team and try to train individually as often as possible (generally once a month, sometimes more). Tournaments have been difficult this year due to the cost of playing Madrid having a massive effect both before and after on people's time and money.

Without our strong support from a number of industry members we would have folded and would not be in the strengthening position we are in now. Campaign Paintball, Heaven Paintball, LT Paintball and Draxxus have put a light at the end of a long tunnel.

Next year we aim to compete consistently within a UK series and play three milleniums making the sunday club in all of them.

I think I would like frequency of training, results and aspirations.
Ok then to update:

The League LXB

Training: once a month at least, twice whenever possible
Results: 1st place and 2nd place at the 2 D7s XBall Lite tourneys, 13th/43 (I believe) in M5 at Campaign Cup, some NSPL podium places.
Aspirations: Train harder next season, play the Millennium Series, continue playing Xball Style events domestically and perhaps NSPL or UK Masters events to help prepare for Mill Series competitions.

We lost a few key players early on in the season been "restructuring" since.

I'd probably put 2 or 3 of our players in the "should be walk on" group (myself included) who can't really put much more time in and are probably retiring in the next few years but are reliable when it comes to tournaments, 3 or 4 players in the "want to get better" group who have enough time/money to train more and get better and the last 4 or 5 players in the "need more money" group who are really hungry to play more and have loads of time but no money.

Training: Once a month (a sunday @ bricket wood)
Results: 4th Nov Euro5 last year (as mongstars), currently 3rd PA Div3
Aspirations: Promotion back to Div 2 PA, have a solid enough team to play Campaign next year.

(this is as I see it don't know about the rest of my team)

training once a week
hope to eventually make it to div 1 millenium and get over to as many pa or masters events as possible.

will continue with indoor training over the winter months.

finance is the main problem for me personally, as i can't afford to fly over every month to play somewhere. paint is also a major cost. also holidays from work as i only get 20 days per year + the stat days.

have to spend time away with the missus as well.

Thanks for clarifying that Ed.
The one thing I would say Pete, is training means different things to different teams. Some see turning up at a site and playing games all day as training. Other teams prefer to only drill. Some (and I suspect very few) combine both and have a structured training schedule. Surely with the training side, another important factor is (mostly with the newer teams) who is there to correct a player that may be performing fundamental errors in certain disciplines!
Or am I jumping the gun here and thats where you are leading to?:)

Clan TRY and a train once a month depending on the fantastic Scottish Weather from March-Oct. We also have two teams playing in tournaments once a month, again depending on numbers - PA and UKM. However in the next few weeks this is gonna change, because we are building an indoor training ground about 40 feet from my front door. Lighting, XL Turf, and we are going to fit in a video camera to record training session for playback to see what we are doing right and wrong. There will also be a fitness section with running machines and other stuff used in gyms...so....we can (in two weeks) train 7 days a week, 24 hours a day if we like......I can't wait!!!!!!!!! Although I'll probably be single soon!!!
