The main reason I'm avoiding the millenium series at present is this system will be scoring british teams against british teams in britain. And at a millenium they won't necesserily play each other. Alot of teams take differend squads to a millenium than they would to a domestic event. Maybe once it is up and running additions can be made. But how far do we go and start incuding one team that played a local event in holland whist shoping in dam ?!?

Once the system is online and people have a chance to look at it, if the feedback is good then I may approch bully to get UKPSF backing then, but I want to see how it compares to peoples preceptions first.

Thx for the support

This is much closer than you realise

I have been working on a National Ranking System for over seven months now, I have collated and entered all the results from 2002 SWPL, Euro Indoor, MM2003, Series2k3, KotH and the M25.
We at the Midlands Masters have been using it to seed our events. We are currently looking into International events such as the NPPL, and Millenium but only from a UK perspective.

This ranking system will be used to seed teams for the 2004 MM events, and it is our intention to publish a weekly top X rankings.

Hi Blakey, I am aware of your efforts, and look forwards to seeing how you run your system with interest. I'm not planing on going furter back than the start of this season tho, and like you at present have not included international events. Will be interesting to compare the results.

name changes could be a problem
for example
tsunami at the m25 7 man have one team but at gordano 5 man they had tsunami yellow, red and black

it is a very good idea but you wiil need the co-operation of the larger teams to try and keep thier names the same or keep you informed of changes

may be you should consider doing two sets of rankings one for 7 man and one for 5 man

so go-one, how exactly are you gonna make it a fair representation of where teams are. Because there are different leves of tournament across the country. Im sure it will take a long time for you to make a list ppl would see as reasonable. And who would be top.....thats bound to cause come chaos.

not knocking what ur trying to do but like blakey sed the ppl at the masters have been working on a ranking system for agas and its still not perfect......

.....but im intrested to see what u come up with

The rankings at the top end aren't much of a problem. The team with the most wins at the biggest tournies will reach the top, simple. It's lower down where teams only play one league and rarely venture out that I forsee most bitching about !
