BOnus balls

I got pulled for over agressive play at the winter series.

On a run thru first guy got 2 in the back, second guy got 2 on the pack and one in the back, he dont stop shooting and is turning towards me so he gets another 2 in the side, last thing i want is pain between the shoulder blades as i go for the next. third guy gets one in the goggs,

....and as im going for the flag i get my armband whipped for "going at em too hard" no team of newbies either.

I couldnt believe it. All the team shook my hand at the end.

IMO until the guy signals hes gone he is fair game, and i expect to get taken in the same way, but im not up for wiping and playing on like a muppet, and if you mug me i wont spin.

Theres cheating and there is playing the game to the full, i distinguish between the 2 gadget.

sounds like a bad call then.......... I got pulled for putting four into someones battlepack once!!!!!
That will happen, mistakes are made........... but accepting overkill? accepting playing on etc.... is something different.

I get bonus balled all the time, and although sometimes it can be uncomfortable there is a flipside. If the player is wasting his balls drilling you as you walk off the field, then it means he is not shooting at the live players on your team, who can then either move, or shoot him out.

You may be getting drilled, but what goes around comes around. (Remember that Kyle!:p )

If you get shot just get off the field .It is really that simple ,no big debate or recourse.
im not gonna moan about getting bonus balled cause it happens it just part of the game but.........just want to say if i guy is putting his hands up and looks like he wants to come out usally means he is dead and waiting for the gap the the 25 bps wizzing past his head, thats real over kill seeing the guy is shot, he has his hand on this head or in the air and is comeing out but u keep shooting any way just to make sure.
use ur head eh, if he dont look like he is coming out fine blitze the cheaters but when u see hands spowting from behine the baricade u got em.... find a new target

Despite the so called whinging metality, I don't think many people will disagree that 4-5 paintballs from the technologically advanced markers we are using now-a-days constitues overkill or bonus balling, but what hasn't been mentioned is why there is a need to do any more..

In most cases when you mug someone, if you're doing it properly they have no idea that they are gonna be mugged. Sunday last I mugged 4 different players in different games and only needed one paintball in their battle packs - very unlikely that a paintball will bounce if it hits something hard like a battlepack, so there was no need to go any further. Sure no one likes getting hit in the back after you've mugged someone, but again it's the teritory, and if the marshalls are worth their sort they will penalty point or 1-4-1 them - and this is the sort of action that should be encouraged to stop the playing on and the need to shoot a dozen paintballs just to make sure..

I'm sure I've whinged about being lit-up before, but generally it's been where there has been no need for it.

Firstly who is shooting 20 to 25 bps eeeeerrrrmmmm no-one!!!!

Secondly the reason why Pyscho started this thread was because of a incident at the P.G.I 7's last sunday where the last player was mugged out and recieved 8 in the back by one player doing the mug fair do's he was mugged 8 in the back not so good then as he is coming off the field he then recieves a further 5 shots it the back and some of these were whilst he was literally off the field!!!

How do i know it was me that recieved them i dont mind getting mugged pat of the game dont appreciate the amount i recieved i do accept the guys apology afterwards and Pyscho when you see the guy tell him i am sorry for being abit sharp with him afterwards!!!

My main point is where does it stop ok shots in the back what about it the mask top of the head neck its ok people saying that stop being a whinger and get on with it i will be back doing it again at the weekend but what about the issues of saftey and injuries to people i know what is going to happen it will just carry on until something serious happens and then where will be left a line has got to be drawn somewhere and also abit of common sense by players wouldnt go far amiss either!!!!

When I first played MM last year

With the Scarabs, I was amazed how many bonus balls I got walking off the field in one particular game, I didnt complain, but did approach the team afterwards in a fact finding position. I was informed that they had had problems with teams 'dead man walking' and playing on, so they take no chances. So I suppose evil begets evil in that case.

There is also the issue which we saw in training at the weekend when 2 players are in the same lane, the closer one gets shot and starts to walk, but the shooter is now after the player further back, so the front guy emerges from his bunker into a hail of paint heading past him.

I take the "Bonus balls do happen, live with it" stance
