UK Masters - 270 Limit

Just wondering as we missed the captains meeting at the last round. What the score was with the 270 chrono limit. Is this a regular thing now or was it just for the Lincoln round ????

I know it's been mentioned in passing on one or two other threads but futurewise nothing has been set in stone as far as I know.

my team mate managed to catch a ball mid flight in a game

that's how daft 270 was, what do they want you to do when you are pummeling a guy with balls and they just bounce like a scousers cheque (sully ), run over and hit him with your air tank, and say "check his head"

I am prepared to be hit off the break with a 300fps ball, because at the end of the day regardless of field size that is the aim of paintball..... Aint It???

catching a ball mid flight bit hard to belive but if ur paint aint breaking id recomend a diffrent paint 270 fps is more than enuff to break any decent paint

Our teams paint was fine, dont for 1 second think that he shot it from his own gun then ran after it to catch it......

the game that it happened in was against TPB, so really you need to find out what they were shooting, and if it was a premium brand, then maybe then you could come up with a new paintball shell compound...


you see enough bounces with 300fps, nevermind 270 not to mention any drop-off that occurs during rapid firing..

Once again.....if you're paint is bouncing shoot better stuff, especially at 300.

I'm also not convinced about your team mate catching a paintball at 270fps. Sounds pretty dubious to me

When one of your guys mugged me out of the snake he hit me about 6 or 7 times but I only had one splodge of paint on me - 270 is for girls

First of all anyone who says that they have never bought premium paint and witnessed a bounce with such paint are either blind, ignorant or a complete gay liar. It is possible that bad batches are circulated and distributed (supplier acknowledge this and will always refund a bad batch).

Come on guys its not as if paintball irregularities are not unknown and unheard of.

As for catching the paintball well that was me, and fair enough some of our team didn't believe me (its not my fault my godliness ninja skills are incomprehendible to normal plebs) but it happened.

The point is when you set it to 270fps, a sensible player will have it a little lower, and compile this with the drop off of high rof, then your shooting strings of what can be bouncing bullets.
