Eric - UK coppers 'did' once pull in front of you. Now they seem to pull up behind you (although I have seen some pull in front still).

I know you are old enough to remember this .

I have been stopped that many times in 20 year of driving and the only time they have ever pulled up in front was because i stopped and parked so fast, they flew 40 yards past and had to reverse back . Always have good brakes

She should be slapped....the standard rules in this country are that if you see a set of blue lights (from any emergency service) behind you, you should pull over to let them passed
