UK college paintballing

Ok we have all heard or the NCPL that is in place for the good old usa but i was wondering if we have anything similar in the uk. Im a 16 yr old 9by the time you read this 17 yr old) student from the kent in the uk. Myself and soem friends have thought about starting a team in college but have been unable to find out anything about loca tournys etc. I myself am not a great player but since marshalling for Outdoor Pursuits have had the opportunity to play with Phil Ham on the new sup'air field we will be opening soon. I pressumed college paintball would be the way to go for some experience. Any advice would be welcome.

Alright mate! Glad to see you have got yourself on the forums (good start by the way) if you have ANY questions about paintballin or anythin really this is the place to get an answer (might not be the answer ur lookiin for but an answer none the less).

So u wanna play ball?
Alot of teams play in a series called the Midlands Masters, if you wanted to get a team started then that s a good a place as any to do it www.MidlandsMasters.com

Or you could try and join a team, by just askin people on the boards if any1 is lookin for players.

But if you really wanna start ur own team, just ask established teams wots the best thing to do etc?

And no i don t think there is a paintball college thing in the U.K mate, ballin aint as big here than it is in the States yet!

cheers for the help just wishing me wishing again. Hmm maybe we shoudl get sky sports ass and get them to play some balling to get it bigger over here rather than appalling the sport with programs liek x-fire. (yeh remember that piece of *AHEM*) anyways thanks for the help ill look into the midlands masters and hopefully ill be able to travel around as soon as i pass my car test.

Ok lil off topic here but you seem a knowledgable guy. I got 300 squidlies to buy myself a gun. One probs is i hate cockers which makes me a bit of an outcast i know. im off jetsettign to florida next month and hope to purchase some equiptment whle im there. ne advice on that. Currently the only markers im really used to are the classic tipmann 98 and the Inferno which are the site guns we use. Id love a jt excellorator 5.0 but heard they poo and unreliable. any ideas??

University Tournament

There was the first ever University tournament last year on the day before the Storming the Castle event. First of its kind and will hopefully persuade more Universitys to have teams. Dont think that there are any leagues tho, and this is the only tourny so far. If it repeats (which it hopefully will) it'll be later on in the year, but hopefully you will have been to many tournaments and be the paintball master by then.

what do you mean be a paintball master. I ALREADY AM. lol i wish. Lol yeh well mite have to look into uni purely for the drinking and p-balling then!! Or even Whay drunken paintball (crazy stuff, but as read in jans pgi hurts a hell of a lot less ).

There is a lot of usefull info at the university paintball legue in portsmouth heres the site

I was also thinkin of setting up a uni paintball group with my uni for next year, but we will see

i think PGI mentioned something in one or two of the issues about setting up a uni group, sometimes if you ask your uni/ college and say that your thinking of setting up a group with them they sometimes give advice even help with it (ie money towards things ) but if you ask what they can do they may help you dude

well dude everyone has there own preferance so who cares if you hate cockers, i wouldnt say your an outcast as there are a lot of people who probably dont like them. I do like them but thats not the point
