not feeling u nickyboy -

Cockers technicly shake themselves outta time due to the kick - i'd love to see a noob re time a cocker - i bought a planet cocker from new which rarely worked outta bag.

Angels have a good reputation for working top notch outta box - always have done always will do - and for maintenence i would always recomend 1 - that and obviously any AKA Marker :)

Anything based on the angel design is gonna be pretty reliable,

That is gats like Timmys, Vikings, BushHamsters, EGOs and of course Angels.

Many people like cockers, because you can set them to be gentle on paint.
But I find the kick of a cocker extrememly disturbing, I am not strong enough to clamp it down to my shoulder at high ROF, where as with my angel I can shoot much faster much more accurately.

Perhaps one of these half block types would be better.

Regarding shooting brittle paint, last training we had some old paint that wouldnt go through any of the guns, not one ball would go through a cocker, ego or angel.

So I stuck it in my Emag, didnt break a single ball. Well impressed...

PS Scars, still looking for that fang grip mate, its here somewhere

Cockers? Angels? Why not offer the guy a reasonably priced entry level marker like the Ion*?

After 6 months of playing he will have had a chance to try out other markers and learned enough to know what he wants.

* I'm not a fan of SP and am only reccommending the ION cos its simple and value for money

Again thats cos you don't know how they work, Quote "my marker doesn't work the vel is really low" answer you reg was turned right down LOL

but is all fairness if you are tech minded in anyway then get an angel, if you are tech minded and want to have a marker you are able to tune to perfection then cocker

P.s. not sponscer by planet at all

Johns right

cockers are somes favourites because the bolt dont belt the paint like most open bolt markers do making them less prone to breaks - unfortunately becuase its easier for a marker to sling a bolt forward than backwards closed bolts are usually slightly slower.

Half blocks/Turtle mods have less to them to reduce kick but one way of another - its still a fancy ripped up cocker

Staying warm on a sunday!
i have to say i'ma cocker man

but they are a gun for someone who has a technical mind and want to know more about it etc.

angels i just dont like,

scars is the biggest marker tart i know! the day he settles down with a gat is the day he shoots me off the field! ;)

it really is about personal preference and the amount of money you have in your pocket

get yourself down to your local pro shop or tourny

try a load of guns out and then go for the one that you think feels and suits you better!

peace

Get your first marker, secondhand, from here.
Most peeps on here who have been around, wont screw you over...also, theres plenty of people about to help you with anything you cock up. I'm a Cocker man, Tom Allen is an Angel man, Collier is an anything man...

Try a few differnt markers at walkon day...see what you like..but...pay attention to what the marker does when you shoot it...ie..it might be fast...but, when its fast, are you hitting what your aiming at ****COUGH!****angel****COUGH!****, does teh marker shoot great slowly, and still hits what your aiming at a speed?...does it still haev loads air left, when teh other s have run out? ****COUGH!********* cocker***COUGH!*******

In all seriousness, try a few, see what you like..cockers are teh mist upgradeable gun out there..so buy secondhand, tehn build it how u like...bits are cheap enough, apart from teh e frames, but buy one with one anyway, teh upgrade teh internals etc...

Dont forget, one persons trigger setup might not be the same as you like..so dont let that fool you...

i will try to narrow it down for you.

e-cocker
angel (speed, a4. fly speed 05)
intimidator (any)
ego.
shocker

probably the most popular guns doing the rounds at the minute.

do some homework and then make up your own mind. i have a timmy and i like it but i am seriously thinking of an EGO (anyone from planet wanna convince me or do me a deal i cannot refuse?!?!?!) have also had angels and played with shocker and speed 05.

all are good just.................different...........

i'v always had either a timmy or an e-blade and their both sweet
timmys seem much easier to get to grips with but e-blades are quite reliable and chop like nothing

angels are good but they are so overated!!!!!!!!!

ego's f*?king rule to they weigh like nothing and are soft on paint like an e-blade
