Ok, I've got a Imperial Impulse Cricket Vision the lot, I was using it at Marchbrook and it was going ok all morning with the vision switched on, then all of a sudden, tweet, tweet, tweet. The bloody thing wouldn't fire because of the vision, switch off the vision and off I went, happy as larry for the rest of the day.

Now the thing probably only needs cleaning but this is my first vision marker so how do I approach cleaning an Impy Vision, and if it isn't dirt can anybody suggest what it might be?

sounds like its either dirty or was struggling to read the paint you were shooting. (Was it the 2 tone black ball?)

To clean simply remove the ball detent with an 1/8th allen key, then bend the eye cover back. There is a small grub screw holding the eye into place unscrew that and you will be able to remove the eye from the gun (yellow ribbon with sensor on end).
Then wipe off any paint with a piece of tissue or cotton wool bud.

If its come unsoldered then you will have to buy a new ribbon from smart parts.

If the eye cover pops out of the frame, you'll have to remove the grip frame (be carefull as the top board is connect with a snap connector but will just click out)

Hope that makes sense

i find that reachin down the feed with a tissue covered finger and wipin the breach works, unless its smegged out of all proportions, then its a bolt out, barrell off, fluffy squeegee followed by tissue then wipe the eye.

its easy to test if the cleanin worked, just put a ball in the breach and turn the thing on, see if it'll let you fire, no need to gas up!
