turtle vrs speed

weight: the turtle is a lighter without a doubt

speed: again the turtle wins (at least id does when i shoot it) i outshot a halo with mine

size: the turtle is FAR smaller than a speed

looks: cant get much more unique than a one off!

not knocking speeds at all tho, ive used one for a couple of tournies and was very happy with it.

I have an eblade and a speed...Certainly no tutle cocker though. Personally I like the feel my eblade a little more, and a turtle would just be awsome. If I could only have one though, I don't think that it would be an easy decision. I think you're best bet to just be to use a mech cocker for a few games (or an eblade, whatever you would have on the turtle) and then a speed. The only downside I could think about a mech cocker would be that it certainly shoots slower than any electro.

well

I have had a speed personally i thought it was chunky , and not much better than the ir3 fly my opinion only, i also have a Nexus , fantastic , just awsome , untill i was introduced to a Turtle which is matts Jalhads and my word weight less fast as hell very comfy , infact i was so ompressed i have ordered one off Bob long Turtle himself,
The best thing to do is before you buy get hold of a turtle and have a blast , im sure Jalhad would help you out there matey.

Had a speed and could not get on with it, moved to a race Hb which i suppose is similar to the turtle and never regretted it, with the break beam eye it just rocks, lots more accurate and light as hell!

You're not going to like this answer.

But get both.
As you see my signature I own them all.

Two reasons.

1. When one of the Turtle cocker goes down I can always grab the other one or the Cobra Speed. Cockers, believe it or not, are not as reliable as a Speed. Too many moving parts. So when it does go down, and it will, you'll have that trusty Speed to take you out of that bind.

2. If I decided to start the day with the Speed, then when I get tired I can go to one of the Turtle cockers.

Between the Eblade and a Racegun. That's easy. Go with the Racegun. I hate changing out 9 volts, you will too!

Cheers,

SID

Wow. You have a s***load of money. Just to let you know, I'm 15 so buying two $800 markers is out of the question (no matter how much I would love that!). Kind of like you said, I like the answer, but there is no way that is going to happen. The Turtle is awesome, but I would have to get a mech and I don't think it wouldn't be as good as the Speed in it's mech version.

Take this in account then.

The Cocker is a gun you can modify until the cow comes home.
Of all the guns it's the proverbial paintball money pit. Meaning you'll be spending a dandy, just to keep it "up-to-date."

If you go with the mechanical Turtle, you won't be happy. Because it won't be fast enough on the field.

With that said, go to Firstcallpaintball.com and buy the Angel Speed package.

It comes with the only upgrades you need. The A4 bolt and middle sized Volumizer.

Go with that, and you'll never have to worry about wasting your money.

In all honesty, I don't need the cockers. I'll be happy with the Angel. Only problem is, I like the tightness and the lightness of the Turtle. I wish the Angel could be that small and then I'd always shoot it.

Time and time again, its always the Speed that ends up being the gun that works when I need it. Its dummy proof. Put air in turn it on and it works.

With cockers, any cocker. You have to be smart. I'm tired of being smart. I just want to play. Play and don't spend time working on your gun all the time. Meaning- get the Speed and you won't worry about messing with all the cocker nonsense.

My beef is- You have to know the cocker to own one. And once you know it, everyone will come to you to get theirs fixed. Well, I rather be playing than helping someone out with their cocker. I'll still help them, but I rather be playing. Catch my drift?

Get good grades in Highschool and College, and you'll get a sweet job too. I love my job. They pay me to train the good guys how to kill the bad guys. But being a doctor or lawyer is good too!

Thanks! That really helps a lot. It's funny you mention Firstcallpaintball.com because their home base is 15 minutes from my house and if I buy from their store here in Yorktown, VA I can get that same package for $700.

No Problem. I'm glad I could help. Tell Bobby (at Firstcall) I said HI! He knows me, I'm his #1 customer from Germany. At least I like to think I am. Where do you think I got my Speed, Eblade, and countless other PB stuff from? And say Hi to Shannon too! They are good people.

Oh, and there's more good news. You can still use the Freak from your Eclipse Angel.

I hope it works out. Take care.
