waste of time....

 Oh and to make things worse, we can't even use our own markers at the event!! Gotta use some beaten to death range gun that breaks down two seconds into the game...(Ranting..)
I'm South African and usually take every opportunity to have a poke at other Antipodeans,( Aussies & Kiwi's.) but not at that price.....especially without my marker!!!!

Hmmmm.....

Now that would be something to entice many to a field....., wonder who would be able to help??Who would have access to a field that could accomodate a group of mental tourno's... two teams from each of the four nation's, 10 person's per team, sounds good... The experience would be heart warming....

Tri Nations "tournament"

Hi all,

I also saw this advert and having played tournament paintball in NZ thought I'd dust my toys off and take the chance to shoot as many aussies & saffas as possible. I even had special dispensation from my girlfriend who's birthday its going to be that weekend and had plans to teach Beaker to say "G'day" with a passable kiwi accent and smuggle him in!!

I spoke to one of the staff at City Paintball and after a *very* painful time trying to get details I found out that it is effectively just a walk on day (or two)

They don't have any format for team sizes, from what the guy was telling me they are simply going to break everyone who comes into groups. Whether this will end up being into respective "tri-nations" teams I don't know.

I couldn't get any clear idea from him as to rules / format or how the "tournament" is going to run.

I see they are now advertising a "tri-nations cup" for the series winner, although if it's different walk-on teams each time I can't see who this will be awarded to, unless it stays at the City Paintball site.

Seems a nice advertising scheme for their recently taken over site in the heart of Antipodea - shepherds bush

Oh in fairness to City Paintball and my earlier post I emailed them for clarification on the format, the reply is a lot clearer than my phone conversation as to how they will run the event but doesn't sound like its going to be suitable for any serious ballers.....
