A lot of teams who are thinking of attending any of the Millennium series events this year often forget to get any travel insurance - let alone a decent level of cover!!!!!

If you can't be bothered to search around yourself for a good deal, click on the link below and it'll take you to a company that i've been using for the past 12 months

Hope that this helps some people out and means that we get more UK teams to Millennium events.

Nick.

Had a look and yes the prices do seem reasonable...however a phone call IS needed as the playing of paintball isn't shown as an approved sport....I have used the same insurrance company for the last 6 years for all my paintball trips and when I was originally looking for the insurrance ALL the companys I rang would cover paintball but treated it as if it was winter sports ie ramped the cost up...the company I ended up with has paintball on its list as an "approved sport" and you are covered for all injurys as long as when actually playing paintball you are wearing eye protection. The personal effects cover on all travel insurrance is crap 'cos it nevers covers enough for a marker (if lost) so additional insurrance is needed, normally on your household insurrance policy.

Not being negative at this post, 'cos I know of many who have travelled on "normal" travel insurrance and think they are covered whilst playing paintball.

The company I use is the HSBC Travel Unit 0800 169 4013 (8.00am -10.00pm 7 days a week) and my annual policy is less than the company this thread is about, and as I have said paintball is allowed and covered, oh you get all the skiing cover as well for free ;)

Cheers for that Mark have rung for Quote for two of us for year full cover in Europe £79.50 it will also cover travel in uk aslong as it includes two night booked away. Not bad.

What sort of cover should we be looking at when travelling abroard?
Medical cost cover?
Accidental injury cover?
Salary replacement incase of time off work?

Any one out there Know?

When you get the policy documents it lays all the figures out ie how much you are covered for regarding costs, but they will tell you the figures when you get a quote, the worldwide cover I have I know is in the millions for medical :D the yearly policys give greater cover than the single trip type. The only extra I would consider is your marker insurrance being put on your household insurrance 'cos even the company who I have suggested the cover is minimal percentage wise in relation to the value of a paintball marker to say the least. Accidental injury which in turn will cover time off work due to the injury "would" be covered by a personnal injury policy. I would have to read my policy a little closer to see if it covers what you are asking, don't believe so (but until I find the damed policy booklet ) as it is a "travel insurrance" so if you are after insurrance to cover you when you aren't travelling...

Hmmm....just tried HSBC and was put through to Norwich Union

I asked about a true 1yr policy for my trip and they said paintball wasn't included, plus Boarding is extra.

Was chuffing £400 too - that's a LOT

Go-sure were about £200 - which is much more sensible.
