In the woods - Huge old boots I picked up at a surplus store years ago. I've got weak joints so I have to be careful not roll my ankles. Very heavy, but loads of grip and extremely comfortable. Oh and waterproof too, seen too many people step straight into ditches in trainers. =P

Outside the woods - Cheapo footie boots.

Nike landsharks- best paintball shoes ever.
FACT.

Although, like someone already said, proper boots are essential for the woods.

Especially if its stinking wet, get yourself a nice pair of water-proof/resistant Magnums and your day will be bearable. I use Magnum Jungle Boots at the site I work at on the weekends, good grip, stable and pretty resistant to puddles.

For the Sup-Air its the Nikes all day long!

astro turf trainers cos there really comfy and flexable for sup air and boots for woodsball cos the soles are thicker when you dont see that root stick out the ground and break the sole of you foot on it. OUCH!!

i personally wear nike total 90 moulded and blades. after 30 years of football i kinda trust the gear. also i feel that the forces on the foot in paintball and football aren't dissimilar if you take out the contact part of football. my guess at appropriate footwear would be

uneven terrain/woods- army boots or anything that supports your ankle more.
grass- running spike/cleats/football trainers/boots- less support more surface grip
astro-modern golf shoes/football trainers/cleats/soft spikes

you can also narrow it down within the categories, if your permanently sprinting to a corner track spike would be better than football boots, but if your running a dog leg then spikes wouldn't give you the torsional support during the change of direction that cleats/ football boots can. also i wouldn't fancy standing around in stagnant water in a pair of track spike. minging.

i've tried all the silly footwear for sup air and usually go back to footy boots.

Tanels.
And if you're worried about getting wet, a pair of sealskins waterproof socks, probably the best £25 I've ever spent.
