the one we were talking about on the pa forum was an angel which had a trigger that pivoted in the centre and used one microswitch....although this is still a single trigger....if you were to move the trigger thru the full range of its movement and returned it to its starting point then it will have fired 2 shots.....ILLEGAL

the one we are talking about here also pivots in the centre and this time has a switch at each end......2 separate buttons to fire the marker...ie 2 triggers....ILLEGAL
this one also fires 2 shots when moved thru the full range of its movement and returned to its starting point......again ILLEGAL

damn good idea tho....first one i saw was one that Doc Nickle put together around 5 years ago on a shocker...damn fast!

The trigger is whatever "triggers" the shot...... so that's the switch and this has two of them..... sticking a single rocker trigger over the top doesn't change that. Plus the legal definition states that a pull is "pull and release" before pulling again to fire......... that's not just for tourneys, that's for legal ownership in the UK! Think about it this way, if you put seven microswitches in the trigger guard and ran your finger up and down you'd get seven cycles per movement..... obviously illegal..... why would sticking a single "trigger" over the top then change the fact that it's not legal? same thing here..... it's got two triggering mechanisms.
Interesting to see what the legality would be too...... the law hasn't really changed much since 96 and there is no consideration for an electronic firing mechanism in there...... weird really, we are firing markers that require as much effort on our part as firing a shot in Doom or Halo....... but the law still only refers to pure mechanical equipment.

Just seems such a simple idea, and in theory, it is still only one shot per pull!
Only reason I ask is I have a trade account with these people and was looking at bringing in some body kits!
Cheers all.

This is the rule as it is in the PA rulebook as used by the PA and the dartford 7s, The UKPSF rule is worded more or less the same.

"Any device used for propelling a paintball using a trigger activated, compressed gas operated mechanism is hereafter referred to as the Paintball Gun or Gun.

All guns must have only a single barrel and a single trigger mechanism either electronically or mechanically operated."

Almost certainly not tourni legal. But that doesn't mean you wouldn't sell a good few if you shipped them in Tony :)

Also, not legally legal mate :) if it fires more than one shot per trigger action (if it's a rocker then it's two per pull) then it's illegal........ not just in tourneys, it's ILLEGAL in the uk. Simple as that. It takes it from a "exempted case" and puts it back into section 5 of the firearms act. That's an illegal firearm. (We just get ignored at the moment as long as we stay one shot per pull and fire frangible rounds).

having looked at the site i think its quite simple.
in the frame are 2 switches...... it is the switch that is actualy the trigger mechinism.
therefore ther are 2 triggers.
not leagl......
the trigger shoe is just a part of the actuating mech of the trigger set up.
top and bottom of it, there are two triggers in the frame.

As this one seems to be a bit of a minefield...................

Right these seem to be a bit of a grey area. Some I have spoken to (including the police) seem to think they may be legal. Although they are a "bit different" so i still don't have a 100% answer. As such, I won't be bringing any of these frames in, end of.
There is no way I would risk anyone being done on a FA offence.
Thanks for all the input guys!
Later.
