You are heading in the right direction Henry ,just by realising you need one.You will need to put together a set up for a coach to come in to. By that I mean most teams training is just points ,more points long chat ,pay up and home . The training at the start of the season ,should be different from that once you are several tourny's in . Doing the CPPS as a weekend ,ie train Sat play Sun is a good way to start to get the team into a train and play mentality. As a team you can do a lot of the organising and having a team ready to play yourselves. Also if you get the coaching from one visit and utilise for a second session you can do without a permanent presence.Obviously you need them there at tournies. You can also "filter and evaluate" their input as to whether it's working. As to finding one ,you will have to trawl around as this sport is light on coaches ,despite having a wealth of talent in playing, coaching is not as easy ,as imparting what you know is another skillset. Dave Stewart ,former coach of Notorius has a FB page .Ian Hudson coached Defiance and Shock Kids .Im not sure what Scuddy is doing now but again no harm in asking. If you come up dry, another route is to find a current player prepared to help you out .You seem to train at Bricket so that gives you a base that you can search from. I will ask around the Nexus ,tigers and new team coming to see if anyone is willing to help.As they will be around and at CPPS ,you never know .Best of luck Henry .Hey guys thanks for the advice!
Would you happen to know any such qualified persons? From where we are now, we'd like to play division 3 at CPPS next year, and continue up the divs over the coming seasons. International tournaments would also be on the menu, but the idea is to get the team well organised and proficient so we can (hopefully!) achieve our goals
Thanks!
