Back to the TonTons..What happened to them? Where will their players end up? Anyone know?

Too bad another long time team is gone. They certainly were one of the most entertaining teams to watch.

did they really have that many players the last two years, except the americans?
beat me to it.
the Americans weren't with them this year I think, Tavarez is with Nexus, im sure there would be space with Vision or Icon for the remaining handful.
Is the older guys name Frank? He is still a quality player

I do remember them having a feeder team , tonton cadets. Atleast they wore tonton jerseys last year. Kind of a kick in the face to those guys atleast. Cant find them on mills site though.

Edit:
When did they change their names to cadets marseille?

since last year....
they were playing SPL as Cadet marseille. According to the millennium rules, they were not consider as a sister team of tonton. But they are training both on the same place (a field belonging to franck Mouren, the "old" player)

in january 2008, the Cadet D1 spot was "to sell" (i'm not sure it has been yet.)

Tavarez still remain in "the tonton" roster for the centurio-eepl series.

edit : according to the "communiqués" from vision and icon, none of the tonton players has joined them for the 2008 season

cheers

anyone know what the fcuk happened to tontons? its one of the oldest teams in history which is done (if they are???) and the owner being laurent i find it pretty surprising...
as far as i know: dxs and smart parts won't push so much money in this team for the millennium. BUT they've a really good offer from sp and dxs for the centurio series! maybe rumors?

Since 1992, THE TONTONS FLINGUEURS have built a proud and well-respected reputation. Their attitude is dictated by one principle: a fierce will to win in competition. They are dedicated ambassadors of the sport.

For the new year, they have decided to concentrate their efforts by supporting rising paintball markets like Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

As a result their participation as a team in the Millennium Series will cease, but the team's lineup will still support the world's best series by playing on different teams or coaching sister teams.

Thanks to their achievements and dedication, THE TONTONS FLINGUEURS have earned a reputation of skill, friendship, and dedication throughout the world. Their name is known everywhere.

Needless to say, the team would have never succeeded without the trust of their sponsors, of whom they are proud to uphold the values: Draxxus, Vforce, Smart Parts, NXE, Adrenaline Games, The Paintball Store, Energy Paintball, Reball, the city of Toulouse.
