Ok then peeps - in our quest for world domination after our disasterous performance at Campaign, Team Overlord went down to the Temple last Sunday to play some 'ball.

When we arrived there was some conflict over whether we had booked in, which ended up with us playing in the 7 man Pro/Am division.

After each game some of our players asked our better and more experienced opposition what we should have done better/differently.

One comment from a Pro team player (Backlash i think) was that we should have stayed out and shot more and that we were too easy to put in thereby losing the aggression and therefore the control that our positions sometimes gave us.

In all of the articles in PGI the main emphasis is on staying alive and playing tight and we have been told that trading is baaaad. And yet here is a player telling us we should have stayed out more when people were shooting our way.

Obviously most of you won't have seen us play but if anyone from Outkasts, Tricky, Backlash, Shockwave, Shock Am, Wolf, Tigers, etc reads this how do you think we played and what do you think to the comment above. I realise that this post opens me up to loads of abuse but just to give you something to think about...

And all this from a team who finished 5 places off the bottom of the Novice division at Campaign:rolleyes:

Using my brain (for once!!)

I think he was refering to our back line, who (on the games I watched for the comfort of the dead box) tended to duck in when shot at, whereas other teams' back players would start looking out the other side. I know one person who was guilty of this (No names but he got bunkered quite a bit!) :)

No not me! I play front remember!?! :D  :D

No. I know it wouldn't have been you my little bunker monkey:D

I'm starting to think it might be me. The bruises on my ribs have come up nice!

Anyways - you got mail fairy!

I was instructed NOT to trade at temple on sunday. If you get involved in a trading session u increase the chance of getting shot out.Even the top pros cannot snapshoot well enough to guarantee their survival in the game.

Obviously there are times when you should trade and times when you should just lean out the other side of the bunker until the heat is off then go back and see if you can deal with them.

Ah well... If that was what the guy meant then fair enough... I would have thought that it's obvious that if you're getting paint down oneside of your bunker you can look out the other... Pinky did you get my mail?

Also, are you and Monkey Boy up for the 7 man at Temple on the 20th? Send me a mail or reply here whichever's easiest.

Not really. You could have 2, 3 or even more markers trained on you, just waiting for you to make that kind of assumption (been there, had that done to me, been shot out that way  )
