I think the most important aspect of playing front is having quick reactions and being able to play as tight as possible. I guess both those aspects are applicable to all positions, but playing front your generally in a smaller bunker and alot closer to the other team.
You don't have to make those huge breaks straight to the fifty. If you break out with the back guys mowing your gun, you'll often be able to gain alot of real-estate when the other teams back guys drop there guns and start running to there bunkers. The difficulty is when playing against strong back players who don't drop there gun during the breakout. In which case you had better be greasy fast moving up the field
Listen to the people around you, team mates and opposition if possible.
Wear knee/shin pads and elbow/forearm pads, diving head first over snakes and small bunkers can be quite painful otherwise.
My own golden rule, keep pushing forward. Don't sit there like a sucker letting the other team take all the angles, you have to be aggressive.
Hope it helps
