They seem to be aesthetically designed for people with no taste, who think Angels aren't bling enough. They have very long bodies, betraying the fact that the prototypes were built on Spyder bodies. Their reputation for speed seems to come purely from the electronics, since mechanically they have a slower cycling rate than Impulses (which should have the same electronics available soon), and much slower than Vikings (which already come as standard with the same electronics!) They are expensive, and a bugger to get parts for in the UK.

Leaving all that aside, they are damn nice markers to shoot, and they command a certain respect on the playing field.

Excellently stated, but don't forget that Bob also cut corners with the Timmy. Just one example would be mico lines internally rather than internal passageways. Even the Bushmaster and imp have internal passageways, and for half the cost of the timmy. These cut corners result in a gun that is maintenance intensive, requires upgrades out of the box (like adjustable ram cap), and is generally more unreliable then a gun like an angel or Viking. As you can see, I am not a big fan of the intimidator, but they do seem to be relatively nice guns. For the most part I think they are ok, I mean so many teams wouldn't be shooting them if they were completely horrible.

Best I've had so far

I can't complain about mine. Best thing being that, apart from being wickedly quick, I have not had to carry a sqeegy with me all year. It just cannot chop paint (with WAS in forced mode the bolt will not move if there is no ball completely in place). Even in the rain in Portugal, no hassles with broken paint (yes, that is not 1 broken ball in 3 days of playing, or in the 5 months since)

No extra maintenance work than say - a cocker, the lp tubes may be a bit longer, but connect the same sort of stuff as on a cocker, so not really an issue, and the adjustabe ram cap was only really needed if you got a GZ (cause the body length was slightly different)

Before I bought mine I didn't think that anything would replace my angel, I was wrong.

Timmy

Timmys are the dogs, easy to shoot reallly fast with sob or a was (and as those come standard on most timmys these days you cant call it an upgrade).

Reliable, low pressure, highly efficient, an eye that actually works properly.

Maybe a bit expensive new but an excellent 2nd hand bargin.

Get a classic, cheaper, all the mods done already just dont have the milling and clamshell, but how often you gotta take the frame off??

Nice gun! I particularly like mine in red to black fade... :D

I might be interested in selling my Blue Ironman timmy which everyone knows as 'the machine gun' :D if someone makes me a good offer... PM me if interested. Comes with adjustable ram cap AND snatch grip and a few other bits and pieces.

Awesome guns to use, I've never had to do any maintenance on mine other than a lubing of the regs. The ram is an excellent design.

I played 45 games of X-ball in Philly, shot a TON of paint, very quickly... and never broke a single ball...

slower cycling rate than impulses? Didn't seem that way when I hit 19bps in Portugal.... Also, the micro lines in the body, much easier to sort in the event of a problem than a gasket, no more stripped threads... Easy to maintain, easy to set up, easy to shoot, look the dogs, and if you want to try one come to the Phoenix trade stand... Good prices on all ExPhoenix Factory Team guns, with air and all, just ask. My Lasoya series needs a new home, I have my eye on a species series....
