Its a tuffy... i'v shot both a lot kuz i was making the same decision, and i chose to buy a timmy juz kuz of the fact that the only thing that sepperates them really is the looks: and we all know timmys f*"king rock when it comes to looks.

Thier both good with paint

an ego is slightly lighter but thats the price you hav to pay for a pimping timmy

It is the autococker pixies (tm) that makes cockers shoot as well as they do. The closed bolt thing is a red herring.

As for the topic...

Timmies are wonderful guns. Best breech sensors around. All the talk that they are glorified Spyders is about as valid as the statement that an Eclipse cocker is a glorified Nelson. True, in both cases, but just barely. They are light, gas efficient, and reliable. As of 2004 most of the build quality issues had been sorted.

Egos are from Eclipse. You can't go wrong. The attention to detail is typically amazing. Eclipse products are usually something you like better and better the more you think about it, or the smarter you are.

Both a joy to shoot. If you live in America, especially California, go Timmy. If you live in the UK, go Ego.

back to topic i agree with gyroscope depending on where you live get the gun that will have the best support and both are relativly the same on speed and accuracy, all depends on your set up.

having used both extensively, here's my opinion.

timmy - awesome gun. you dont need a technical analysis, its just a great gun. The older ones are heavier than the new ego but the newer alias based gats are a similar weight. They shoot perfect and just like any other gun if you set it up or get it set up right then it will work great as long as you dont mess.

Ego's - awesome gun. Its fast as **** and a really great build. When i first tried one i wasn't impressed but then had a blast on one that had been set up and f*ck me they are hot. Again its how the gun is set up.

Best bet as per usual is to try them both and see which one you like. I like both but if pushed id have the ego as i personally believe it to be superior.
