Apparently Dynasty did not look like Dynasty, and Ollie was taking 4-5 kills per game for the Men. I wonder if Dynasty's state of flux will last through HB?

The Russians are going to win an event this year.

By accounts, they were the best at the event! It was the first time anyone EVER has beaten Dynasty by the cricket score RL put on them. 16 points scored, what a result.

Trauma and Philly were some of the few teams who were not having major paint issues, which I have heard had a major effect on the RL Philly result.

RL battered many teams at this event, and in the past season of the NXL. I would bet on them to win Vegas.

Bart and Matt Blonski played awesome, as did Alex L. With the talent the RL already has, it will make them even stronger.

Legion will be winners in Vegas.

Strictly speaking are the Blonski's not Polish.....? ;)

That's true. But keep in mind that last year NXL was still in "regular season doesn't matter" mode. It's kinda hard to win events when there is no winner.

That said... I think the Legion has the highest pure skill level out there. Their trouble seems to be that "extra gear" the better teams kick in on Sunday. If you watch teams like Dynasty, XSV, Trauma, even Philly, they seem to be able to turn it up a little more come Sunday/Finals. I think Legion is still learning this, but Alex and the Blonskis might help with that.

(I think that Max's biggest contribution to their win in NEO 2 years ago was his intensity more than his actual play)

This is not a good data point. RL is a good team, but they also happened to play Dynasty when they'd just lost a key player and when they were just learning you can't get away with the same **** in the NXL as you can in PSP Open/NPPL without getting penalized for it.

Dynasty will smarten up, as will most of the other Open XBall teams that have yet to get used to the reffing.
Oakland will probably do much better in Vegas, if there's one gun in the NXL I wouldn't want to shoot in the cold it would be an Intimidator.
Russia will probably win one event this year, likely two and maybe three at the most. But they will not have a commanding lead at any time, nor will they ever be a definitive top dog. In fact, I don't think anyone will anymore.
