Pete- what I feel you fail to realise is by towering over the scene like a big bald idol in a jungle somewhere you've made baiting you a rite of passage for a lot of tribes of young players, especially those stuck out in East Anglia
The young man wishing to prove himself must register on p8 and then call you a nasty name or similar, before running away like Indiana Jones chased by a big rolling boulder. Only then can he return to the tribe a man.
Ollie, why would anybody wanna go bait me?
It's not as if they are gonna win any prizes and will only end up being made to look stupid .... I just can't seem to follow that line of thinking but it may be half right in that they may well think it's a 'rite's of passage' thingy but I honestly think a lot of them genuinely believe that what they say is correct and they think they are correct (when in fact they ain't) because they are stupid people.
I have seen several cases of this on here, nobody likes to be made to feel a fool, or even proved wrong, least of all me but that is exactly why I won't comment on subjects I am not or only partially qulaified to do so but half these kids have been in the game for 5 fcuking mins and they think they know everything.
The other half have been in the game considerably longer but their experience is so parochial that it beggars belief when they begin to comment on pro levels of play in the US or other similar matter's that are so far out of their general experience that it beggars belief.
And that's where we get the problem .. because if these idiots see having pops at me or my team me as a rites of passage then any sympathy for them is not gonna be all that high on my agenda when it comes to putting them straight.
They ask for it, they will get it as I see it.
Anybody can come on this site, as lots have done, and ask any of us any questions they like, I will ALWAYS try and answer courteously and respectfully and give the best answer I can to help them out.
I just reciprocate the tone of the initial post.
