Well done RL you guys deserve it, you have shown us in Euro land a proportion of your capabilities, but i am sure you actually got the chance to 'stretch ya legs' in the US. looking forward to supporting and watching you guys again at Campaign!

@pete - that statement is perhaps one of the best i've read on these boards, we ALL and United need to use the RL approach and start using what we have to improve, rather than hiding behind the large player pool anecdote - hopefully if all can behave next weekend could be day one of the Allied assualt! see ya next weekend!

Hey sorry to all the Yanks who got offended, but when we first started talking about how much RL have progressed, you all came on here and told us we were talking ****.

Anyhow this is a good thing because now it will raise the bar for teams across the globe. It will redefine the standard of what a professional club is all about.

The thing is, this isn't really a fluke either, the scores are very convincing for RL. If they've established this much of a lead at this point in the season, how much better do you think they'll be next season with another 8 months of training?

I dont think it really means **** for euroball. At the end of the day, yeah they are a non american team who have gone and mown the best in the world.....BUT, this has only been possible due to massive investment from a private sponsor. A millionaire in China could take a load of super athletic guys from a martial arts dodjo and achieve the same thing with enough money to buy up the coaching etc...

All this shows is that to be the very best you have to be 'very pro' and a team with enough funding to pay its players like a full-time job, employ proper coaches etc can achieve anything.....Without the same backing that the russians get, you cannot emulate what they have done or how they will progress..ca$h money talks, you don't need a talent pool if you can buy in expertise.

Enjoy it, Eurokids. RL won and good for them. Did I expect it to happen, no. As I've already mentioned elsewhere I think it's a good thing.

And for those of you who find it important to say, I told you so, feel free to go crazy.

And for all of you denying it's a us vs. them thing for you take a second to think about what really happened in PA. RL raised the bar for everybody. You despaired of being able to compete with American teams before--just wait until the ones who are able get really serious about fighting the Russians off and then figure out where that leaves you.
