Okay gays and gals, don't say we never listen (because if we don't, we won't hear it anyway). A lot of you have been clamouring for a poll on the Millennium Series' new policy that will reduce the number of prelim games from 10 to 8.

Let us know what you think, and feel free to expand on the reason for voting the way you did.

I voted for Sucky.... because it quite cleary is sucky!
The only reason that I personally can see to play the milleniums is to play better teams now, and whats to say we can't do that at home to a certain extent? The extra price used to be just about justifiable when there was at least 10 games for everyone... now that its 125 Euros a game its getting stupid.

But what the hell, nothings going to change is it? Who cares about the customers when you are the only people with the service?

P.S. This in no way represents the thinking of my team, I haven't even talked to them about it hehe Sure they'll disagree with me out of principle anyway :D

Who's to guarantee that you will be playing better teams anyway?
With all the current changes, pros may well be playing pros only, and for some reason, there is this weird tendency to end up with at least one team that you play/train with regularly in your pool... I always found that wondrous.

If it means that they have a better chance of sticking to the schedule then I'm ok with it - even 8 prelim Mill games are better than a day at your local site with **** Reffing, crap fields and f'k all else to do.

Unfortunately, the reffing can be just as **** on some fields at Millenniums as it is at your local tourny site. The only difference being that you might find even more arrogance from the refs due to the importance of the event.

Well, you could say that if you hadn't read the Millenniums press release that they are going to 70% Pro Reffing - something I think we were all moaning about for the last 3 years.
Actually maybe there is a link here as well. Maybe another reason they have switched to 8 prelim games is that it is the only cost-effective way they can supply what we have all been asking for - 100% Pro Refs??

Pro reffing?

'Pro' reffing?

Frustrated ex-players? Or worse frustrated players!! Theyre all the same generally, just paid more with a bit more training.

The 8 games thing just means space to schedule in more teams = more revenue per hour on site for the promoter (if the teams book in)

Thats what is driving it, lets cut to the quick eh?

Good luck Millennium Series anyway. Just be honest to your customers. Because that is what they are PAYING customers who shouldnt be treated as idiots.
