Edit : This is a site near me which already has a pretty bad reputation ,I had no idea this had happened until a mate at Skirmish told me it was in the paper

http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/breaking-edinburgh-news/Paintball-worker-thought-his-eye.5082379.jp

I'd like to fundamentally point out that this site (which I have played at once)..Is NOT an example of how the other sites in the area are run ,A1 paintball and Skirmish are both within a mile of this place and I've worked at both,I've run walk-ons at Skirmish and I play for the Clan owned and run by Big "check my silver thong" Sid of A1 paintball..

We all **** about but surely a time served marshal shouldn't of been pointed a gun at anyones face loaded or not ,I'm not one for health and safety regimes ,(far from it ,they make my life a nightmare on building sites) but surely there needs to be some sort of common sense regulation of all sites to prevent anything like this happening, obviously site owners are responsible for there hiring policies but in this case what would you expect the new marshal to do when his immediate 'gaffer' is doing the same.

Idiots will be idiots. He was asking for trouble, especially how the article mentioned earlier he had put the barrel of an empty marker in his mouth and fired it.

Reckless....!!! The time served marshall should have known better.
Whether it be at home, or at a paintball site, i always tell my 2 lads as well as our team players, saftey always comes first. Theres no excuse not to.

That's just crazy:eek: Wouldn't have expected that from a marshall at all as it's alway's been safety first where ever i've played.

It's people like this that the courts need to deal with a very firm hand, if they don't then three years from now you will see a tightening on the law:eek:

Its shocking to read really..

Anyone who has marshalled know the feeling you get the moment a player lifts thier goggles (especially in the middle of a game) your heart goes right into your throat!..

Theres no way in the world a marshall, experienced or not, should have done anything like that...

shocked......
