Steve,

I want to know which Southern Muppets Jinx is on about in his post lets not cloud the issue, eh?

I mean is the doubters that are “too stupid” to understand the PA Concept? Or just those that have a different Opinion on how UK ball can be or has progressed (or even the lack of progression). There’s always more than one way to skin a cat, seems that if you’re not a sycophant or ask too many questions, your either:

A) a Muppet
B) a doubter, whose not progressing UK Ball
C) an idiot who just doesn’t understand

Is it the Muppets who enjoy a wide range of industry sponsorship in the belief that these guys may well win a meaningful title? The one’s who train 4-5 days a month as a team, play a Millennium event and then also undertake personal physical or technique training?

I really want to know especially as it is from the “Official PA Ref’s”.

What? i wasn't interested with the posts that had gone off on a tangent and looked likely to get in to a slagging match, and posted something more related to the original topic -unexpectedly fair play.

I have nothing against side discussions. But why should the rest of the thread have to stop on your behalf?

But damn it i've been drawn in. I'm a supporter of the PA, but frequently ask questions about why things are how they are or discuss possible improvments, in the rules, organisation etc. I can be quite critical, but always in a constuctive mannor. I have never had a bad word or defensive posturing from the organisers, they can take criticism. However if it is unconstructive or false, then that can be different and of course can annoy people.

I will admit that some supporters of the PA can be over defensive, people have a had a go at me for asking questions but these people do not speak for the organisers, nor is everyone as intolerant as them.

does not warrant a answr

all i will say is that if it wasn't for us refs you guys wouldn't play because when players ref each other in tourney's all there is is back stabbing and bitching.

the rest of the thread/debate i am not gonna answr to because i know what i mean when i said it at stupid o'clock last night but i'll be damned if i know this morning but like steve said we are a tad defensive you would be too if you put all the work in for people to try and shoot it down in flames but hey shutting up now.

regards and respect

Hang on Jinx - it was your comments that turned a good natured thread about So Manc (and their desire to shoot each other;)) and started attacking so-called 'haters of the PA'

But if you wish to leave it alone now, then so be it - no skin off my nose:)

Ahhh Glen talke a chill pill and get a sense of humor will ya?

Hell, a guy makes a "tounge in cheek" comment and as usual you automatically use it to go off on one of your crusades and try and turn it into something it's not...

...and whilst Jinx is a qualified PA referee, he doesn't speak on behalf of the PA, like you he has an opinion and is quite entitled to express it...don't waste your time & effort to try and infer otherwise...which let's face it, you do an awful lot... ;)

..and Jinx, you do right not get sucked into this, don't waste your time and effort trying to "defend" yourself over what started out out as light hearted banter...the more you try, the more Glen will just keep poking away, trying to get you to post something he can nail on his bed post...

oh...and by the way Glen...Jinx is originally from London... just thought I'd mention that for no particular reason... ;)

If someone comes onto a forum, and posts such a comment as “Southern Muppets” they better damn well better expect to get called upon it. Stupid O’clock or not, it’s not exactly the brightest thing to post is it?

It’s pretty apparent to all what you meant anyway.

I’m going to make this point SPECIFICALLY clear for all to read. Everybody’s entitled to believe what the route forward for UK Ball is. Hatt’s has his vision (evidently shared by many), but there are others. Just because we do not share said vision or have questioned it in the past does NOT make us either Stupid or Muppets. You can debunk people’s arguments either way, but you don’t get to suggest we are less than the sharpest of tools.

People make huge investments of time and money into their personal belief of the “way forward”, what will be, will be.

Tom Tom go back and read the post and how it was written, nope actually here it is:

“course its a awesome tourney to have just try explaining that to some of the southern muppets”

Don’t sugar-coat what is obvious.

Hatt’s

I apologise, I mean I must’ve been getting defensive over 3-4 weekends a month I give up trying to be a better baller (with to date little success). Missing the other-half’s B’day to train all on the altar of Paintball. Even if I’m not playing, helping the team in the Pits or bringing my only Paintball skill (booking hotel rooms) to the table. I’m sorry I must’ve taken the Muppets comment the wrong way. Point off fact I’ve left well alone cos it’s destructive to constantly bicker, but insulting others opinions veiled or not doesn’t fly.

I agree not the best way to phrase it. I knew what he meant because I am involved in the PA stuff.

For those who arent I can see why it was taken any other way.

I agree there are many different routes teams and individuals can take in paintball and to me they are all good because it is all paintball.

As long as you are happy going the way you are going how can it be wrong.
