For the life of me, I can't work out what makes a$sh0les like bottrill tick; are they really that stupid???

Do they really think the board is gonna screw the very people we are trying to help?

Generally, people like him get what's coming to them, call it karma, call it justice, call it whatever but life has this unerring knack of repaying such cynicism and greed, and when he does have it delivered thru his letterbox of life, I hope his mind ticks a memory box that's tagged 'Federation' .... a little voice in his head will be mine whispering, 'Have that a$swipe' .....

I never had any business dealings with the scumbag but I seem to remember a few people not having particularly rave reviews about him and it seems they were bang on the money.

Yes, I've actually done quite a bit of biz with Terry. By most accounts he runs a fairly busy field in Northants. I knew him originally from SOG. I was actually surprised that he wasn't more helpful.

Reading between the lines, and purely from what's written here, I would guess that maybe he has been keeping this venue back for an event of his own. Which is fine, he can go ahead and do that - it's his choice. Problem comes when he runs said event, how much support is he going to get now he's pissed off the UK Paintball Federation? I suppose in a way it was lose/lose from his perspective. Share the venue and give up the expected profit you had been counting on, or don't share, and have a bunch of people not want to support your event once you run it, thus crippling the expected profit potential.

One moral of the story is - If you want to keep something to yourself - don't run your mouth about it.
